Moreover, they intend to not only reveal the real work behind their own magic, but also pull back the curtain on a step-by-step process anyone can use to spark their creativity and develop innovative moments of magic as well as a meaningful narrative context for them. Laura London has appeared on ITV, BBC, and Penn & Teller's Fool Us, and she has made a name for herself as one of the top sleight of hand artists of her generation. Blaise Serra has appeared on Penn & Teller's Fool Us, performed at Speakeasy Magick, MGM Resorts, the Magic Castle, consulted for Shin Lim, and is a rising star on the L.A. and New York magic scenes. On Wednesday, November 16th, they'll both come together to present a lecture at Tannen's on their unique styles of magic. This event will be in-person only and not broadcast, recorded, or streamed
Laura London's interest in magic began when she was only 10 years old and just one week after her 18th birthday, she became the youngest female member of The Magic Circle, 16 years later, Laura is a member of the Inner Magic Circle with gold star.
Initially concentrating on a wide range of close-up magic, Laura now concentrates on cards and her exceptional skills have taken her to the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe in a show she devised and wrote herself 'Laura London: Cheat', receiving 4 star reviews across the board, she also reprised the show at the 'Secret Cellar' at London's Vaulty Towers.
Her close up and card skills have made her one of the most in demand magicians in London– with residencies that have included Café Royal, Rosewood hotel, The Savoy and the Hippodrome Casino. She is currently at the Café de Paris and Circus London.
Her performances at corporate and private parties have taken her around the world including Mumbai, Tokyo, Sydney, Dubai, New York, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Laura has had the great honour to perform on several occasions to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and also at Buckingham Palace for Her Majesty the Queen.
Laura's TV credits include ITV1’s 'The Next Great Magician' and 'Penn and Teller's 'Fool Us', 'The Magic Party' for BBC NI, 'Children In Need' and 'Playing Tricks'.
Further to all of this Laura has become an expert on the history of women in magic and is now being called upon to give talks on the subject.
Blaise Serra is an innovative magic creator and sleight of hand artist performing frequently in both New York and Los Angeles. The uniquely impossible feats he is capable of have placed him in high-demand for his performances both live and on shows such as “Penn and Teller: Fool Us,” as well as to consult with acts in Vegas and lecture on his creative process for other magicians around the world. He specializes in one-handed sleight of hand and indexing techniques which allow him to simplify his routines to instantaneous moments of astonishment without any procedure.
In January 2018 at the age of 18 he moved to Los Angeles and began performing at the Hollywood Magic Castle. One month after moving, others began to take notice of his creations and he got the opportunity to work with musician Todrick Hall on his “Forbidden” visual album and world tour. A few months after returning to LA from that tour, he began working with magician Shin Lim as a magic consultant. During this time his work gained popularity in the magic community through his highly advanced one-handed sleight of hand tutorial releases : “The One Armed Bandit” and “Double Agent.” After honing his craft working as a full-time consultant in Las Vegas, in 2022 Blaise began to focus on performing again. When he is not performing in Speakeasy Magick in New York city or at his residency at Zero Bond, he performs in his solo show “TAME: Through A Magician’s Eyes” in Los Angeles.
